Christopher M. Wilkos, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Chris is responsible for setting investment strategy to ensure that Nassau Re fulfills its obligations to customers. He oversees Nassau Re's life insurance companies' general account and affiliated investment portfolios.
Chris joined the company in 1997 as director of Corporate Portfolio Management and was named vice president in 1998, and senior vice president in 2001. He was promoted to chief investment officer in 2009 and took on
responsibility for Nassau Re's internal investment manager when it was formed in 2017.
Prior to joining the company, he served as an investment officer, portfolio manager, and vice president of Portfolio Strategy and Operations for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.
He holds the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Hartford CFA Society. Active in the community, Chris is a member of the Connecticut Rivers Boy Scout Endowment
Investment Committee, is chairman of the Investment Committee of the United Way of the Capital Area and is a member of the UConn SMF Investment Advisory Board. He is an adjunct finance professor at UConn and the
undergraduate supervisor for the Student Managed Fund.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross, cum laude, and a master’s in business administration in finance from the University of Connecticut.
